Using and setting up your email account and Outlook calendar.

  • Sharing a calendar, mail folders or contacts

    You can share your calendar, your contacts or a mailbox folder with one or more colleagues.

  • Installing your email and calendar on your mobile phone

    You can install your email and calendar on your mobile phone, so that you can use them while you are on the move. Follow the manual for installing these features.

  • Requesting a functional mailbox

    If you wish to use a shared email address with your team, you can request a functional mailbox. Anyone with a Radboud account can request a functional mailbox.

  • Managing or removing a functional mailbox

    As the owner of a functional mailbox you can add or remove members. If someone else becomes the owner or if the mailbox needs to be removed, this can be indicated in the Account Portal.

  • Using your e-mail

    You can use Outlook (in the Office package) to read your mail. In Outlook, log in with your Radboud account.

  • Sending emails to groups of people

    Would you like to send emails to a large group of people? Then you can request a mailing list or a distribution list. A distribution list is used for internal communication, while a mailing list also allows you to email externally.

  • Change your private email address

    You can change your external (private) email address in BASS. Go to 'My employment' and click on 'Change personal details'.

  • Suspicious emails or ‘phishing’

    If you receive an email from an unknown sender asking you to share information, be alert. It could be phishing; this is an attempt to defraud by way of a digital scam.
