The Catholic Documentation Centre (KDC) conserves and manages the Catholic heritage of the Netherlands and makes it available for education and research. The collections consist of archives, visual and audio material and publications from Catholic social institutions, individuals and communities from 1800 to the present.

On Friday 24 April 2026, Leo Ewals was awarded a Royal Honour by Joerie Minses, the mayor of Heumen. In recognition of his many years of dedication to the arts and heritage, he was appointed a Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau.
