Working time

Do you opt for flexible or standard working hours? Here you can read everything you need to know about working hours at Radboud University.

  • Flexible working hours

The working hours for full-time employees may deviate by two hours from the standard working week of 38 hours. If you work 40 hours a week, you will be given 96 extra holiday hours per year. See the ‘Flexible working hours’ page for more details.

  • Working more hours or less hours

After consulting with your supervisor, you may have decided that you want to work more hours or less hours. Changing your number of working hours will affect the number of holiday hours that you accrue and it may also affect your salary.

  • Standard working hours

There are 38 hours in a standard full-time work week, but you will work more hours and accrue compensation hours. You will agree about your actual working hours with your supervisor.

  • Returning to the standard number of working hours

If you have accrued leave, you will be forced to revert from the plus variant to the standard number of working hours.
