There are several places to park on campus. The Grotius, Huygens and Elinor Ostrom/Gymnasion buildings have car parks. There are also various open-air car parks. To prevent parking problems in the neighbourhood, we kindly but urgently request that all visitors, staff and students make use of the parking facilities on our campus.

Parking with number plate recognition and a QR code
At the Verlengde Erasmuslaan car park (P7A) and in the Gymnasion (P7B), Grotius (P6) and Huygensgebouw (P11) car parks, you can park using number plate recognition. From mid-August 2026, this will also apply to:
- Platolaan (P10)
- Houtlaan (P13)
- Toernooiveld (P12)
How does it work?
- Entering the car park: Your number plate will be automatically recorded at the entrance. Press the green button to obtain a parking ticket with a QR code.
- Payment: On your way to your car, scan the QR code to pay straight away via iDEAL or Wero. You don’t need to install an app to do this; you’ll be taken straight to a secure payment page. This means you no longer need to stop at a payment terminal.
- Exit: You can also pay at the exit if you wish. The barrier opens automatically as you drive out, either via number plate recognition or after scanning your QR code.
