Going abroad

Everything about working, conference visits, and more abroad; such as options, permissions, preparation and scholarships.

As an employee, always request written permission from your supervisor first and fill out the form: 'Reporting a foreign stay'. Review the checklist moving below for more information for your situation.

  • Emergencies abroad

    Depending on your destination, the duration, and the goal of your stay abroad there may be a grant available for you.

  • Cross-border worker

    If you live in Germany or Belgium and work at Radboud University, you are a cross-border worker. You will be facilitated to be a tax resident in your country of residence and be socially insured there, rather than in the Netherlands.

  • International Collaboration Funds

    Radboud University has several funding possibilities to initiate international collaborations.

  • Temporarily working from abroad

    If you plan to go abroad temporarily and work from there (for research or teaching, for example) and you know you will return to the Netherlands, take several issues into account.
