An (international) guest is an academic staff member who is not employed by Radboud University and who visits the faculty in person to contribute to and/or discuss research, teaching and/or professional services. Usually, incoming guests come from abroad, but can in principle also come from the Netherlands. Think of a guest lecturer, guest researcher, external PhD student, grantee, volunteer. A guest receives no salary or remuneration and performs work at Radboud University exclusively or predominantly for himself or in partnership with a company. This work usually lasts no longer than one year (with exceptions). Guests who come for a period of less than 2 weeks (e.g. guest lecturers or speakers) are generally not registered in the HR database and require little or no support or facilities.
For an (international) guest employee to start, it is necessary to request access to facilities (e-mail, systems, library) and buildings of the university in a timely manner.

If you have a guest from outside the EU / EEA countries, a residence permit in the Netherlands is required if you stay in the Netherlands for more than 3 months.
