If you would like to be notified when new scientific literature is published, set up an alert via different search engines so that you can stay up to date.
Database alerts
There are specific databases that provide options that can easily and automatically alert you about new literature via email or RSS. Contact an information specialist to ask about the possibilities.
BrowZine
BrowZine provides access to e-journals the Radboud University is subscribed to from 2005 onwards and allows you to read them on your PC, tablet and smartphone. You can save copies of your favourite journals and receive notifications when new editions become available.
RSS alerts
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. You can set up RSS alerts via a browser extension or via a separate RSS reader, such as Feedly or Feedreader. You can subscribe to an RSS feed free of charge by clicking on the orange RSS icon on the web page.
Nowadays, the RSS option can be found on almost every magazine website. You can also use RSS to subscribe to feeds from news sites, blogs or any of your other favourite websites.
Citation alerts
Web of Science Citation Alerts allow you to be alerted to new references to a previously published article or to an author’s publications.
