Taking out literature with your campus card

If you want to request books or articles from the University Library (UB), you will need to have a University Library account that is activated. Once you have activated your account, it will be linked to your campus card. This means that you will be able to use your campus card to borrow physical books.

Activating your account

You can activate your account by giving consent to share your personal data. You will need to give your consent again to share your personal data if:

  • You are requesting or borrowing literature from the University Library for the first time;
  • It has been more than one year since you requested or borrowed literature.

Activate your account

Activation period

Once permission has been granted, it will take one working day before you can request and borrow physical books or articles. If you try to request literature before permission has been granted, you will get a ‘User not found’ error message. There is no activation period for accessing e-books and articles from e-journals.
