What can we expect from social robots, now and in the future? Could they actually replace our “ordinary” friends? The film Klara and the Sun is set in a dystopian future. Klara is an outdated android, designed as a companion for children to help combat loneliness. She is purchased by the ill teenager Josie. Although Klara is capable of many things, she is not well attuned to human customs and emotions. Yet she does everything in her power to heal Josie.
Join us for an introduction by AI expert Tibor Bosse and explore further the role of robots, and the meaning of care and friendship.
