Venue: to be announced, Nijmegen
The language of discussion is Dutch.
Everyone wants to be themselves, and we admire people who are authentic. We often cringe when someone pretends to be better than they really are. But how do you know whether you are authentic yourself? And is there really such a thing as a true self? Do we perhaps only discover who we are through living our lives?
Philosopher Cees Leijenhorst will provide a short introduction to some of the most important thinkers on authenticity and being yourself. Afterwards, together with the other participants, you will reflect on what it means for you personally to be yourself.
Join this Thinking Café and explore these questions through guided philosophical discussion.
