How do you react when a homeless person asks you for some spare change? Do you strike up a conversation, give them a euro, or walk on whilst gesturing that you’re in a hurry? And why do you actually make that choice in that moment? Homeless people face strong prejudice. But why do we actually react the way we do, and how does that relate to the perception of homelessness in our society? Come and listen to physician for the homeless Maria van den Muysenbergh and psychologist Gijs Bijlstra discuss how our ideas about homelessness arise and what impact this has on people who end up on the streets.

This language of discussion is Dutch. Visit the Dutch page for more information.
