Aren't we already far too dependent on Big Tech and unable to decide for ourselves what we want or don't want? Does a digital boycott as a form of protest actually have an effect against the dominance of big tech companies and the way they affect our autonomy and privacy?
Come hear cognitive philosopher Frank van Caspel and philosopher Lotje Siffels discuss resistance to digitalisation further. Improvisational actor Vera van Berlo illustrates what a digital detox could do to you.
About the speakers
Frank van Caspel is a cognitive philosopher at Radboud University. He did his PhD on a study of the problem of ‘mental causation’, defending the position that it makes sense to speak of mental causes of our actions.
Lotje Siffels is philosopher at Radboud University.
Vera van Berlo is a staff member at the Radboud Honours Academy, district teacher and community builder and training actor.
