19.35 - 19.55 hrs | Zuiderkapel | Thursday 11 September 2025  | English spoken

Over a quarter of your day is spent in your bed, and often longer. Why do you feel broke so quickly after limited sleep, and what does our brain actually do while we sleep? Neuroscientist Lisa Genzel is a sleep expert, and can tell you all about what's going on in your brain while you're snoozing in bed. Listen, and find out what good sleep all means for your memory.

This programme is in English.

About the speaker

Lisa Genzel is an associate professor at the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behavior at Radboud University. She conducts research on memory in mice, rats and humans.
