'How you doin' ', or 'We were on a break'. Who doesn't know these phrases from Friends? How is it possible that thirty years after the first episode, the worries of Ross, Rachel, Phoebe, Monica, Joey and the recently deceased Chandler are still popular; even with younger generations? All the while, the series often shows an outdated view of diversity that no longer fits current ideas about diversity, gender and social class.
