In an aging society, informal care is becoming increasingly important. While there are positive aspects to this, informal care can also be very stressful. How do informal caregivers experience the care they provide? And what do they get out of it? Sociologist Ellen Verbakel explains how important it is to express appreciation in informal care and how we can ensure that informal caregivers persevere indefinitely.
The language of discussion is Dutch.
