To live is to suffer. We have all been the suffering person at one time or another. After all, life is not always fun. But what should we do with that suffering? Avoid it, or instead try to find meaning in it? In Arthur & Friedrich, a night in Bayreuth, theatre-makers Emma Linssen and Dinda Provily search for answers with the two great philosophers Schopenhauer and Nietzsche. Come watch excerpts from their new play and listen to care ethicist Els van Wijngaarden and theologian Annemarieke van der Woude talk about the suffering human being.
