Stadszaken | Monday, 21 September 2026 | 20.00–21.30 hrs | LUX, Nijmegen | Radboud Reflects and Architectuurcentrum Nijmegen.

Recently, the foundations of the largest Roman bathhouse in the Netherlands were uncovered at the former Honig industrial site. Nijmegen has a rich Roman history, yet very little of it is visible today. How do you tell the Roman story to both visitors and residents? And is that even necessary? Join archaeologist Stephan Mols, historical geographer Elyze-Storms Smeets, and architect Marlène van Gassel, and explore ways of making Nijmegen’s Roman past, as well as its continuing Roman legacy in the present, more visible.
