Who was the American philosopher Daniel Dennett and how important was he to philosophy and beyond? The influence of the recently deceased Dennett reached far and wide. He uniquely put profound philosophical concepts, such as free will, consciousness and artificial intelligence, in a new light. He rejected the dualism between body and mind and in all his work tried to fit these concepts into a scientific worldview. His work straddled such areas as neuroscience, biology and computer science. Come hear philosophers Marc Slors and Jolien Francken talk about what we can learn from Dennett's thinking.
