Our formats

Public Lectures
Learn to deepen your insight about current affairs during an informative evening out. Radboud University scholars from all disciplines will provide you with new insights that enable you to form your own opinion about a certain topic.
A public lecture at Radboud Reflects is accessible and informal.
The lectures usually take place from 20:00 to 21:30 hrs at venues in the center of Nijmegen (including LUX and De Lindenberg) and on the Radboud University campus.
A report is made of each lecture and we usually make video and podcast recordings. This way the content of the lectures remain available.
Students usually have free admission, others usually pay € 6,- to € 8,50.
If you would like to come to a public lecture more often, the Radboud Reflects subscription can be of interest for you.
Public lectures can be both in Dutch or English.

Current Affairs Lectures
Is something happening in the Netherlands or in the world that is in the media? Then Radboud Reflects organizes a Current Affairs Lecture about it within days and sometimes within hours if preconditions are being met.
Radboud University scholars provide background information and often offer a different perspective on current affairs. Current Affairs Lectures are lunch break programs in the Radboud University Lecture Hall Complex. They take place from 12:30 to 1:15 hrs.
Participation is free for all. Registration is not required. Podcast recordings will be made.
Current Affairs Lecture can be both in Dutch or English.

Courses
The course offerings consist of several variants with different group sizes, number of meetings and different participant prices: courses and lecture series. The common denominator is the intensive approach to a particular theme from one or more disciplines.
A physical and/or digital reader or a physical book with background information are included in the price. Prices range from € 165,- to € 400,-. No video or podcast recordings will be made.
Courses are mostly in Dutch.

De Reflector - Radboud Reflects Podcast
De Reflector is Radboud Reflects' podcast featuring an in-depth interview about a scientist's latest public book.
To what big questions does this book provide an answer? What is its value to society? The podcasts are being recorded in our own studio. You can find them on our site at the Review section of our site or in your favorite podcast app. Playlist De Reflector on Soundcloud.

In a Film & Conversation, a Radboud University scholar highlights the topic of a current, newly released film. After a brief introduction and viewing guide, you watch the film. Afterwards, the moderator engages the scientist in a conversation about the theme.
The Film & Conversations are a collaboration with LUX.
The entrance fee ranges from €12.50 to €8.50. A podcast recording will be made of the conversation.
Film & Conversations can be both in Dutch or English.
At the Four Days Marches festivities, the Zwarte Cross festival, short film festival Go Short, art festival Schemerlicht, science film festival InScience and so on, Radboud University scholars give in-depth views on the festival theme in short talks to make the audience think further about the theme.
The talks are embedded in the pricing of the overall festival and may vary. There are usually no video or podcast recordings. This is a prime example of bringing science out of the ivory tower.
Talks at festival can be both in Dutch or English.
The Radboud Current Affairs Podcasts focus on scientific clarification and deepening of current affairs and challenges for politicians and policy makers in political The Hague.
We record the podcasts in our own studio. You can find them on our the Review section of our site and in your favorite podcast app.

Current affairs concerning Radboud University or academia as a whole are being discussed in Academic Affairs. These may include student affairs, budget cuts, personnel policies, housing and so on.
Academic Affairs are lunch break programs in the Radboud University Lecture Hall Complex, The take place from 12:30 - 1:15 hrs.
Participation is free of charge. Registration is required. Academic Affairs are intended primarily for Radboud University students and staff. Podcast recordings are sometimes being made.
