Works and closure at the Houtlaan junction

From 15 August to 13 November, the junction of Heyendaalseweg, Houtlaan and Kwekerijweg (near Berchmanianum) will be completely closed to all traffic. The council is constructing a new, safe oval roundabout here, complete with a dedicated cycle path.

Over the coming period, Radboud University will install a total of 26 additional CCTV cameras on campus. The cameras will help to ensure the safety of students, staff and visitors to the campus, as well as university property.

Final collective labour agreement for 2026–2027

On 20 July, a final agreement was reached on the 2026–2027 collective agreement for Dutch universities. All parties to the collective agreement have approved the outcome of the negotiations for the 2026–2027 collective agreement for Dutch universities. This means that the terms agreed during the negotiations have been formalised into a final collective agreement. The collective agreement will run from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027.

Clean-up bicycle sheds

From 10 to 21 August, there will be another clean-up campaign in the campus bike sheds. Old, broken and abandoned bikes will be removed then, and loose locks attached to racks will be cut loose and cleaned up.
