Campus & Facilities manages and maintains Radboud University's physical assets. These physical assets include not only objects such as buildings, but also the greenery, sports fields, audiovisual facilities in the classrooms, public lighting, parking facilities and the furnishing and equipment in all catering establishments.
All of these assets combine to create an attractive campus. They contribute to a pleasant working, living, research and teaching environment and thus to the university as an attractive research and education institute and employer. Radboud University's assets are therefore of value to the campus. Asset management is more than maintenance management alone; it takes a broader view of physical assets. It extracts the desired value from assets by aligning the planning and execution of activities with the university's strategic objectives. It is not just the individual asset, but the entire system of assets that creates value.
