Creating surveys in Qualtrics

Qualtrics is a web-based tool you can use to administer surveys. It is easy to create your own survey. You can choose from multiple types of questions and have lots of freedom to tweak the survey to your liking. For example, you can apply randomisation to the order of your questions and answers or add your own videos and images to questions. The results are then easy to view in a structured manner and exportable to, for example, SPSS.

The Faculty of Arts, the Nijmegen School of Management and the Faculty of Social Sciences use Qualtrics. As a lecturer or student at these faculties, you can make an online account yourself.

Advantages

Qualtrics is web-based. That means you can use this tool anytime, anywhere.
You have access to every possible type of question, randomisation and collaboration (you can work on a survey together, even as lecturer and student).
You can easily publish the results online, or export and save directly to SPSS or Excel. You can also report the data in an attractive manner.

Applying for an account

Are you a student at the Faculty of Arts, Nijmegen School of Management or the Faculty of Social Sciences and want to distribute a survey for the purpose of your Bachelor's and/or Master's thesis? Then also use Qualtrics and easily create the desired survey.

Manuals that help you get started with Qualtrics can be found on the Qualtrics support pages. I If you don't find what you're looking for in the manuals, you can contact the Qualtrics Support Center or ask a question in the Qualtrics Community forum. In both cases you must first log in with your standard Qualtrics login details.

To create a Qualtrics account, simply follow the steps below regarding the faculty you study at.

Faculty of Arts

If you are a student at the Faculty of Arts and have problems/questions about your Qualtrics account, please email qualtrics-let [at] ru.nl (qualtrics-let[at]ru[dot]nl).

How do I apply for a Qualtrics student account?

You can apply for a Qualtrics student account if you are a student at the Faculty of Arts. Student accounts may only be used for research and/or educational purposes. Student accounts are valid for a period of 6 months. It is obligatory to use a Radboud University email address to request a student account.

Please note: Data will be removed after 1 year without prior warning.

To request an account, please take the following steps:

STEP 1 - CREATE AN ACCOUNT:

Go to: radboudletteren.eu.qualtrics.com.
Click 'Don't have an account?'

STEP 2 - ENTER E-MAIL ADDRESS AND ACCESS CODE:

Fill in your RU student e-mail address: [name]@ru.nl.
Fill in the access code: "LetterenStudent". If you skip this step, your account will be invalid.
Click the Sign me up button.

STEP 3 - VERIFY YOUR ACCOUNT:

You will receive an email from Qualtrics with a link to verify your new account. If you have not received this email, check your Junk Email Box.
Open the Qualtrics email and click on Verify My Email.

STEP 4 - COMPLETE YOUR REGISTRATION:

Enter a password of your choice.
Enter your first and last name.
Click on the Create Account button.

You can now start using Qualtrics!

Nijmegen School of Management

If you are a student at the Nijmegen School of Management and have problems/questions about Qualtrics, please email qualtrics-fdm [at] ru.nl (qualtrics-fdm[at]ru[dot]nl).

Anyone with an e-mail address ending in @student.ru.nl or @ru.nl can use Qualtrics. Creating an account can be done by going to fmru.qualtrics.com and following the following steps:

Open the Qualtrics email and click on Verify My Email.

STEP 4 - COMPLETE YOUR REGISTRATION:

Enter a password of your choice.
Enter your first and last name.
Click on the Create Account button.

You can now start using Qualtrics!

Faculty of Social Sciences

Did you accidentally create a Qualtrics account at another faculty?

Check at which faculty you have this account. This can be seen in your browser's address bar when you're logged into the account.

Nijmegen School of Management = https://fmru.az1.qualtrics.com/login
Faculty of Arts = https://radboudletteren.eu.qualtrics.com/login
Send an email to the administrator in question (see below) with the request to delete your Qualtrics account. After your account has been deleted, you can create a new account at the correct faculty.
