Content of the course
During this course you will learn more about your role as a beginning academic teacher and go into the basics of academic education.
Target audience
Starting academic teachers (e.g., PhD-students, post-docs, tutorial teachers) who have some experience with small group teaching and want to learn more about the didactics of higher education (e.g., in relation to obtaining the UTQ). It is preferred that you take this course simultaneous to, or after your educational tasks, instead of in advance.
Method during the course
The training consists of four meetings that take three hours each. During these meetings there will be sufficient time to try out teaching strategies and exchange experiences with fellow course participants. You can also receicve individual coaching from the course instructor. Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate. The course is in English, unless all participants feel comfortable speaking Dutch.
Costs
The total workload is about 28 hours and is divided over 2 months. Participation is free of charge.
