SIG Arts-Based Methods in Education

Duration
2024 until now
Project member(s)
Dr V. Meelberg (Vincent)
Project type
Education

This special interest group revolves around the question how to productively use arts-based methods in education. Arts-based methods stimulate students to reflect on issues and present solutions in new ways that are not necessarily language-based. At the same time, these methods also present new challenges for lecturers. How can we teach arts-based methods to students? How can we ensure the academic quality of courses in which these methods are used? How to assess projects that have been created using arts-based methods?

What is a Special Interest Group?

A Special Interest Group (SIG) consists of people who are united through their interest in an education-related topic. The Radboud Teaching and Learning Centre facilitates the SIG so they can research and delve deeper into the subject together. SIG meetings are always open to everyone - whether you are joining for the first time or have attended many times before. Each meeting provides space for new perspectives, fresh ideas and valuable exchange. So feel welcome to join, even if you don't know the SIG yet!
