Radboud Writing Lab is a free writing service for Radboud University students and PhD candidates. All Radboud University students and PhD candidates are welcome to join the Writing Lab, from any study programme, any year, with any writing assignment and with any ambition. They can come to us for:
- Individual coaching - for students and PhD students
- Workshops
- Writing weeks
- E-learning modules
Costs
Students and PhD candidates can use the services of the Writing Lab free of charge; funding comes from the faculties (students) and the HR department (PhD candidates). The departments pay pro rata for their own students and PhD candidates.
By and for students
At the Radboud Writing Lab, students and PhD candidates always get help from a peer: a fellow student or PhD candidate from another field who has been trained by us as a writing coach.
Method
We improve the writer, not the text. We do so by taking a non-directive approach: by asking questions, we enable students and PhD candidates to critically reflect on their own text and writing process.
