All sites and Radboudnet pages of the Faculty of Science migrated to Drupal

All faculty websites and Radboudnet pages of the Faculty of Science that were in the iProx system have been successfully migrated to the new Drupal system. Whilst a website is, of course, always a work in progress, we see this as an important milestone in the task of merging and integrating all information from 75 different sites within one central Radboud-wide environment.

Visitor-focused approach

The new site puts the visitor at the centre. Information is now organised by target groups, such as employees, prospective students and students, but also more specific groups such as lecturers, alumni, researchers and supervisors.

A major advantage of this approach is that information is managed in one place. For example, there's now just one central page for campus accessibility, whereas this used to be spread across more than 80 different pages.

New home for staff information

We've created a dedicated page for Faculty of Science staff members. On the For staff page, you'll find news, events and documents specific to our faculty. This page replaces the old faculty Radboudnet pages for now. The frequently used forms for requesting HR mutations are also available in Drupal. These pages are only accessible after logging in. Of course, we're keeping an eye on developments for the new intranet and will align with it where appropriate for our faculty.

Your feedback is essential

We understand that this transition might require some adjustment. You may find that information is missing or there's an error somewhere. If so, please get in touch with our department. We act as a kind of internal search engine and we're happy to help you find information or make it more accessible. The new system offers plenty of opportunities to continuously improve the site for you and your colleagues.

You can report minor adjustments, news, events or projects directly via the form on the website. For larger enquiries, you can contact us at communications-science [at] ru.nl (communications-science[at]ru[dot]nl).

What's next?

As we've said, a website is never finished. We're continuously working on both content and technical improvements. As faculty, we're very active in reporting bugs and suggestions for improvement to the technical team. So don't hesitate to share your comments and wishes with us.
