Become a course coordinator for the honours programme

Do you want to work with motivated students and contribute to innovative ways of teaching? Become a course coordinator for the honours programme!

The Social Sciences honours programme is looking for a course coordinator or teaching team who would like to shape a course on the theme of Personal Relations. We would like to give students insight into this theme from different perspectives within the social sciences (including Psychology, Communication Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, Educational Sciences, Cultural Anthropology and Sociology). Does this speak to you?

The course includes an estimated 6-8 meetings, possibly with guest speakers and a creative final assignment for students. How you want to shape this course is up to you! This year, 7 guest lecturers are already participating in a new series of lunch lectures on this topic, and would be interested in participating again next year. Because the honours programme focuses on the learning process, students are not graded on exams, but the emphasis is on constructive (peer-)feedback on their progress throughout the course. Moreover, honours offers a lot of room for creativity in designing the course and we encourage trying out new forms of education.

The course will take place in the second semester of academic year 2024-2025, i.e. around February to June 2025. The honours programme can of course offer teaching hours for this (max. 100), in consultation with the responsible programme director.

Are you interested? If so, please contact marlene.meyer [at] donders.ru.nl (marlene[dot]meyer[at]donders[dot]ru[dot]nl). Deadline: Friday 26 April.
