Changes within the Maria Montessori Building

You may already have noticed that the large Social Sciences banner in De Iris has been replaced with a new design featuring a map of Nijmegen, a quotation from Maria Montessori and her portrait. Signage throughout the building has also been expanded: in addition to the familiar red footprints leading to the FSW STIP desk, blue footprints now guide students to the FFTR STIP desk. This makes it easier for students to find the correct service point. 

Two practical points to note:
• During the initial period, FFTR will be using the meeting rooms located around its own office areas. As a result, rooms MM 02.074, 02.084, 03.012, 03.022, 03.032, 03.074 and 03.084 are not available for booking by FSW staff. Although these rooms are still listed in Planon, we kindly ask you not to reserve them, as indicated in the additional information provided in Planon. If you would nevertheless like to make use of one of these rooms, please contact the FFTR Executive Office at bestuurssecretariaat [at] ftr.ru.nl. Following an initial settling-in period, the meeting facilities will once again be used more jointly.

• The secure staff bicycle storage area has been expanded. At present, only one of the access doors can be opened using a staff pass. The second door will shortly be fitted with a card reader and door closer. Until then, it can only be opened from the inside. As the extension has reduced the size of the student bicycle storage area, we ask staff to park their bicycles in the staff section whenever possible.
Please note: the access door to the bicycle storage area is currently out of order, which means the building's bicycle storage facility is temporarily inaccessible. Campus & Facilities is working to repair the door as soon as possible.
