Collaboration projects with University of Glasgow awarded funding

Seven collaborative projects have been selected to receive funding up to a maximum of £20,000 per project by the Radboud-Glasgow Collaboration Fund. The results of this 8th call for joint Research and Learning & Teaching projects with Radboud’s priority partner University of Glasgow have recently been communicated to the applicants. The funded teams will work on their projects between May 2026 and July 2027.

Below is an overview of the successful projects and their Radboud project lead: 

  • Reconstructing memories in the ageing brain

  • Border Violence Coming Home: An Interdisciplinary and Cross-conceptual Understanding of the Relations between Europe's Internal and External Bordering Practices

  • Non-transmissable Antimalarial Drug Resistance: Research Towards the Perfect Partner Drug for Combination Chemotherapy
    Prof. Benjamin Mordmüller —Radboudumc
     
  • TRAIN-ID International: Empowering support workers to prevent, identify and follow-up on health needs in people with intellectual disabilities
    Dr. Fleur Boot — Radboudumc, Institute for Health Sciences
     
  • Reimagining Internationalisation at Home: The Radboud-Glasgow Model
    Koen Schilders, Joyce Opdenoordt — Nijmegen School of Management
     
  • Data-driven and chemistry-aware design of peptide hydrogel biomaterials
    Dr. Mathijs Mabesoone — Faculty of Science, Institute for Molecules and Materials
     
  • Zine-Making as Community Care and Multilingual Practice
    Dr. Marileen La Haije — Faculty of Arts
