Do you use images online? Be aware of copyrights

Do you regularly post images on the Radboud website or do you supply images for colleagues to do this? If so, be aware of copyrights. As far as is known, the university has already received three copyright claims this year, compared to an average of two per year. Read how you can prevent the improper use of images and what you should do if you accidentally use a copyrighted image.

To be sure that you do not receive a claim, use royalty-free images from the image bank of Radboud University.

Have you still received a claim? Always report this to the Legal Affairs department via JZ [at] ru.nl. The colleagues in this department will ensure that the claim is handled correctly.
