Adobe Creative Cloud used to allow users to automatically copy files stored on their local devices (like laptops or phones) to the Creative Cloud Files folder. These files were automatically synced to your personal cloud storage, making them accessible in Adobe programs like Acrobat Pro and Photoshop. However, since 3 February 2025, files in this folder are no longer automatically synced to the Adobe Cloud. Any files still in the Adobe Cloud will be permanently deleted on 4 March 2025. Files stored outside this folder are not affected.
Make a backup before 4 March
By 3 March, follow these steps to secure your files:
- Go to adobe.com.
- Click on Sign in at the top right.
- Sign in with your Radboud account (firstname.lastname [at] ru.nl) and then log in via SURFconext (USEZ number and password).
- In the left-hand menu, click on Files.
- Click on Launch more in the bottom left, and then on Synced files.
- Now you will see a message titled File syncing is ending.
- Check if there are any files stored here. You can easily recognize them by the blue button "Package files." If you don’t see this button and there are no files in this folder, you don’t need to do anything further. If you do see the blue button, click it and download your files.
- It is recommended to save the downloaded files to OneDrive. Once done, your files are safely stored on OneDrive.
Please note: It is still possible to use Adobe Cloud documents. Read more about the differences between Cloud documents (which remain) and Creative Cloud files (which will be deleted by 4 March).
