You will soon receive an email containing a link to the e-learning. The faculty board expects this e-learning to be completed by 1st December. Dean Evelyn Kroesbergen and Director of Operations Suzanne Boelens have followed the e-learning and share their findings.
Evelyn: "I especially like the fact that the e-learning deals with recognisable situations that vary in degree of unsafe behaviour. Each time, you are invited to think about it: 'What do I think?', but above all, to think about how you yourself would or could react. Moreover, it gives practical guidance on what to do in situations or where to turn."
This step-by-step plan provides guidance and direction at a time when you desperately need it as a manager
Suzanne is also enthusiastic. "On the one hand, the e-learning makes you think. Realistic scenarios are outlined that are very recognisable. It made me think about both behaviour within the organisation and my own behaviour. I really like the ten-step plan that is part of the e-learning and provides direct guidance for managers on how to act and who to involve when faced with undesirable behaviour. We all have to deal with this at one time or another, but we are often not specifically trained for it. This step-by-step plan provides guidance and direction at a time when you desperately need it as a manager. I have saved the roadmap on my desktop!"
Managers have an important role in promoting an open, inclusive and socially safe working environment. It is, therefore, extra important that managers follow the e-learning to be able to act carefully and appropriately in the future!
