Faculty Board update - July

The Board of the Faculty of Social Sciences informs you about the activities of the past few weeks.

10 July 2024

The board has discussed several proposals related to (re)appointments and improvements in the final board meeting before the start of the summer break. Some interfaculty projects have also been discussed in this meeting.

The board has also discussed the establishment of an APV taskforce. There exists a nation-wide Adaptive Psychological Further Education (APV) programme team. This programme team aims to ensure that study programmes are tailored to the needs of society and the available treatment options by considering the latest scientific insights and field experiences.

The faculty board has approved the proposal to establish an APV Taskforce. This APV taskforce will develop a stronger collaboration between the university master’s programme Healthcare Psychology and the post-master’s programmes (BIG). This will affect the Healthcare Psychologist, Psychotherapist, and Clinical Psychologist BIG programmes, which are organised by the Radboud Centre of Social Sciences (RCSW) under the supervision of SPON, a collaboration between Radboud University and several practitioners. The establishment of the taskforce will have no consequences for the continuation of the pre-existing core group in charge of direct connectivity, which consists of the directors of the educational institutes Psychology, PWO and RCSW.

3 July 2024

The board has discussed several proposals related to (re)appointments and improvements.

The Staff Survey took place in January. The results of this survey have been made public. The board discussed the analysis of results at faculty level. These will soon be shared with FSW employees.

In the Faculty Joint Assembly (FGV) employees and students of our faculty participate in co-determination. The FGV consists of members of FSW’s Representative Council (OC) and members of the Faculty Student Council (FSR) who work together with the faculty board. The FGV’s last meeting of this academic year will take place on 4 July 2024. Topics that will be discussed include, among others, an update in regards to the programme plan Social Safety and the financial developments of the faculty.

Public decisions list

10 July 2024

  • The faculty board approves the proposal to intensify the collaboration between the GZP master’s programme and SPON’s post-master’s programmes (BIG) by establishing an APV Taskforce. This Taskforce will be tasked with the development of the APV policy preparation, aiming to create a direct connection between the master’s programme and the GZ psychologist programme (AMG). The Taskforce will be asked to give both the FSW board and the SPON board (solicited or unsolicited) advice in regard to this.
  • After nation-wide approval for the implementation of the proposed APV plans, the Taskforce will take care of the implementation of the AMG project, while at the same time keeping an eye on the continuity of the learning trajectories and the connectivity between the university’s psychology programme and the post-master’s psychology programmes.
  • The following people will be appointed members of the taskforce: prof. Jos Egger, programme director of the GZ programme, prof. Ger Keijzers, chair of the master’s specialisation GZP, and dr. Jan-Wilm Delicat, the director of RadboudCSW. Prof. Rob Holland, the programme director of psychology, will be appointed chair of this taskforce.
