First assessments with software Ans have been successful

During the exam period in January, the new assessment software Ans was used for the first time in a number of assessments. Ans will completely replace the old Cirrus assessment software as of September 2024. In January, one small-scale assessment was taken per faculty with the help of Ans. These first assessments were a success. It also provides insights for the further implementation of Ans.

What's next?

Feedback from administrators, lecturers, and students has yielded a few additions to the instructions. Think of instructions for taking a test, setting up tests and for E-Support. These additions will be processed. In the upcoming exam period in March/April, Ans will be used for more tests. Then the first tests with additional software (such as SPSS) will also take place.

The progress of the implementation of Ans is on schedule. The number of exams with the new software will continue to be scaled up per exam period. In September, Cirrus can no longer be used and all digital tests will take place via Ans. The data that is currently in Cirrus will be archived.

Your Faculty Digital Assessment Coordinator coordinates which exams are eligible for the switch to Ans and when. Do you want to know when that applies to your course? Please contact your Faculty Digital Assessment Coordinator.

Background

A project group has been appointed to manage the transition from Cirrus Assessment to Ans. On the project page Assessment software replacement you can read more about the planning, the activities of this project group and the reason for the replacement.
