1. Communicate inclusively
In order to benefit from the enriching elements of internationalisation, you must be aware of intercultural differences and be able to adapt your communication accordingly. Take a look at the inclusive communication courses that are offered by Radboud in’to Languages.
Radboud in’to Languages’ Translation Service can also advise you on how you can use inclusive language on websites, in course materials and in other texts.
2. Teach an international group of students with greater confidence
Naturally, you want to provide your students with the most effective learning experience, regardless of their background and culture, but without compromising your own unique voice and your energy levels. The Lecturing in English in the International Classroom E-learning Module will provide you with the tools to achieve this goal. All Radboud University lecturers may complete this e-learning module free of charge.
3. Improve your writing skills
Writing accessible and concise policy and advisory documents is not easy. During the Improve your Writing Skills training course, you will learn how to write a clear and convincing narrative that has a clear key message.
4. Improve your language skills
All staff members can improve their English language skills free of charge. This is because the Executive Board and the faculty share the costs for all English Courses (and Dutch Courses for non-native speakers). The only thing you need to invest is your time. In an effort to keep this time investment to a minimum, some courses can also be taken online. Or you can chose to take one of our other language courses.
