Purpose of the investigation
The factual account focuses on the events of 7 May up until the moment the police were called and also covers actions that took place in the aftermath, extending to several days later. The police will be involved to provide their reflections on the research questions; however, police actions themselves fall outside the scope of this factual account. A timeline will outline the sequence of events. The factual account will be documented in a publicly accessible final report, expected to be ready by mid-September.
Would you like to participate in the investigation?
Berenschot has set up a reporting point for anyone who was involved in or witnessed the events of 7 May 2025. The aim is to arrive at a factual and objective description of the events. Reports can be submitted anonymously, without anyone from Radboud University knowing your identity. You are invited to share your account—optionally supported with (visual) materials—via MeldpuntRU [at] berenschot.nl (MeldpuntRU[at]berenschot[dot]nl).
The reporting point is managed by Berenschot staff. No one at Radboud University will have access to the identities of those submitting reports or to the content of the reports themselves. The reporting point is open from now until 8 September 2025.
If you provide input through the reporting point, Berenschot may contact you with follow-up questions or to invite you for a digital conversation. Participation in such a follow-up is entirely voluntary. Your name and personal details will not be shared with Radboud University, and any submitted material will remain in Berenschot’s possession. If an interview takes place, Berenschot will inform you in advance about the confidentiality of the conversation.
