Following internal communication concerning the results of this investigation in September, new information came to light. Based on this information, the Board decided to commission a follow-up investigation and communicated this internally within the faculty.
As is common in such procedures, the employee will not be allowed on campus for the duration of the procedure. The Faculty Board hopes to complete the procedure as soon as possible.
Dean Evelyn Kroesbergen: “I am concerned that there should be any doubt about the safety of our staff and students. We attach great importance to creating a socially safe environment, which is why we empathise with all parties involved. We have also commissioned an investigation by an independent external agency. I want all students and staff to know that my door is always open for anyone who wishes to talk to me in response to this information. I also want to emphasise the importance of speaking up if you ever experience unacceptable behaviour at the faculty, or if you are in any doubt about it. You can talk to a study advisor, or to your supervisor, for example, and of course, as a student or employee, you are always welcome to contact the confidential advisor for a confidential interview.”
