Liesbet Korebrits is leaving Radboud University

As of today, Liesbet Korebrits, previously programme director for Lifelong Development, is taking an early leave from Radboud University. Liesbet Korebrits has worked for the University for 41 years in various positions.

Among other things, she was Director of Radboud and Wageningen in'to Languages, played a key role in the development of the language policy on campus, made a strong case for language development of refugees, and has passionately and with great dedication put Lifelong Development on the map for the past four years. The reason for her departure is a difference of opinion regarding the future of Radboud Academy. Both sides are very sorry that things have turned out this way.

President of the Executive Board Daniël Wigboldus: “Liesbet was committed to Radboud University with heart and soul. As Executive Board, we thank her for her valuable contributions throughout her career. It is not for nothing that she received the University Medal in bronze a few years ago. We wish her all the best.”

Liesbet Korebrits: “Despite the early termination of my employment at Radboud University, I would like to express my thanks to the many colleagues with whom I have worked with such pleasure and enthusiasm. First and foremost, my colleagues at Radboud Academy and Radboud in'to Languages, but also at the other post-initial training centres (POPs), the faculties, the support services, and the various boards. I hope Radboud University continues to embrace Lifelong Development as one of its strategic principles.”
