Make your choice(s) in the Selection Model before 31 October

There are deadlines for exchanging of a number of resources (R) and allocations (A) in the Employment Terms Selection Model. The Selection Model serves as a supplement to your terms of employment.

Tip: Do not wait until the last minute to make a selection. Sometimes a request in the Employment Conditions Selection Model does not meet all the requirements, which means that a request might need to be re-submitted. The same deadline applies to this re-submitted request.

End-of-year bonus (R)

The deadline for exchanging the end-of-year bonus 2025 is 31 October.

Holiday hours (B)

The deadline for exchanging holiday hours for 2025 is 30 November 2025.

Supplementary travel allowance (A)

It is possible to supplement your travel allowance up to €0.23 per kilometre or up to 100% of the public transport costs incurred. This is only possible if you travelled to the campus for work, entered this claim for commuting expenses in BASS and it has already been processed by the Payroll Department. Even if you do not receive any travel allowance because you live less than 11 km away and do not travel by bicycle, and you want to apply for travel allowance via the Selection Model, you must enter the days travelled in BASS. The deadline for supplementing your travel allowance is 30 November 2025.

Art, culture and sport allowance  (A)

All employees are eligible for an art, culture and sports allowance (€120 for full-time contracts). You can use this for activities or courses in the field of art and culture or a sports membership. Examples include: fitness, football, fishing, museum year card, cinema visits, etc. The deadline for applying for this allowance is 30 November 2025.

Other allocations (A)

Exchange options for costs incurred in 2025 may be exercised until 31 January 2026 at the latest.

Holiday hours

In addition to salary, holiday pay or your end-of-year bonus, you can also use holiday hours in the flexible working hours model. If you have (too) many holiday hours (holiday hours in excess of the statutory minimum/compensation hours), you may consider using those hours in the flexible working model or selling some of them. This reduces the chance that these hours will expire.

Please note: All choices made from 1 December 2025 onwards must be made using sources from 2026. For example: the costs of a bicycle purchased in 2025 can be entered in the Employment Conditions Selection Model until 31 January 2026 at the latest. After that, this will no longer be possible. If you enter the costs before 1 December 2025, you use a source from 2025. If you enter the costs between 1 December 2025 and 31 January 2026, you use a source from 2026.
