Maximum number of Taylor and Francis open access articles hybrid journals 2024 reached

The maximum number of articles that can be published open access in Taylor and Francis hybrid journals in 2024 was reached. Until that date, a total of 1451 scientific articles have been published by Dutch universities and UMCs this year. What does that mean?

Is your manuscript accepted for publication between the time the limit is reached and 1 January 2025? Taylor and Franics still offers the opportunity to publish open access, but the costs are no longer covered by the agreement of the Dutch universities and UMCs during that period. The maximum number of Taylor and Francis open access articles for full open access journals is not reached yet.

If you choose open access for payment, you will therefore receive the invoice yourself. It will be between 2,500 and 3,000 euros, the so-called Article Processing Charge (APC).

You can also choose to share the article open access free of charge after an embargo period of 6 months. The article will then initially be published by OUP behind the pay wall and after 6 months in agreement with the library in the Radboud Repository shared open access.

Do you currently have an article in the pipeline at T&F? You can find several options here at openaccess.nl.

If you have any questions, please contact the Open Access Team of Radboud University and Radboudumc via e-mail openacces [at] ubn.ru.nl (openacces[at]ubn[dot]ru[dot]nl)
