Meet one of the members of the OC: Arnoud

My name is Arnoud Oude Groote Beverborg, and I am a lecturer at PWO. With a background in psychology, a PhD in education, and experience in both teacher training and public administration, I have a diverse career. My interests lie in educational development, organization, and leadership, with a strong focus on collaboration and learning in the workplace.

Do you have a tip to unwind during or after work?

For me, the best way to unwind is not to work at all. I often read short stories—such as graphic novels.

Why did you join the OC?

I become uneasy when the organization is not supportive of sustainability in work and development, especially within the primary process. By contributing to shared governance, I learn how our complex institution operates and can use my experience to foster a more inclusive and satisfying work environment for lecturers and researchers.

Bonus question: What is your favorite spot on campus and why?

I enjoy spending time in the woods on campus. It’s a perfect place to sort out my thoughts while walking or to consult with someone.

Do you have an issue or suggestion you would like to discuss with the OC? Feel free to chat with her or email OC [at] socsci.ru.nl (OC[at]socsci[dot]ru[dot]nl).
