Örebro Universitet in Sweden recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. While enjoying music, speeches, snacks, and drinks, new professors, doctors and honorary doctorates, and laureates took to the stage. Mieke Verloo, professor of political science and gender studies, also received an honorary doctorate, a great appreciation for her scientific achievements.
In addition, during this week of the Academic Ceremony, she participated in a panel discussion on the growing resistance to feminism and gender equality that challenges democracy across Europe.
