New corporate identity plugin available in Microsoft 365 Office

Starting 4 November, Radboud University’s new corporate identity plugin will be available for M365 Office Word and PowerPoint. This tool makes it easy to create documents and presentations that follow the university’s official style guidelines.

With this plugin, inconsistencies in fonts, colours, and logos will be a thing of the past. It includes predefined templates, styles, and design elements that fully comply with Radboud University’s visual identity. This not only saves time but also enhances the professionalism and recognisability of all university communications.

Roll-out on managed Windows workstations

From 4 November, the plugin will be rolled out automatically on all managed Radboud University workstations. You don't have to take action. Once installed, you’ll see a red button with the university’s coat of arms in the top left corner of the Word and PowerPoint toolbar. From there, you can select templates, apply styles, or add the university logo to your documents and presentations.

The installation of the plugin has no relation to the recent upgrade of M365 Office.

Installation on macOS or non-managed Windows computers

Are you working on a Mac or on a non-managed Windows workstation? You can install the corporate identity plugin manually.

Note: The ICT Helpdesk does not provide support for non-managed workstations.

Questions about the plugin

My department uses custom templates. Can these also be made available through the plugin?
No, the plugin only provides templates that are relevant for the entire organisation. This means only corporate templates are available.

My department uses a different logo than the Radboud University logo. Can this logo also be added to the plugin?
No, only the official Radboud University logo can be used. Using other logos is not recommended. In the corporate templates, you can - if relevant to the recipient - mention your department as the sender in text form.

I don’t want to use the Radboud University corporate identity. What can I do?
Using the Radboud University house style is the default setting, as it ensures a consistent and professional look across all materials. If you prefer not to use it, you can select your own fonts and colours via the toolbar in Word or PowerPoint.
