Tidying up
Take this opportunity to tidy up your desk and cupboard. Make sure you put confidential and sensitive documents in the special locked containers. This will prevent them from falling into the wrong hands.

At the office, on the train, at home. It doesn't matter where you work. By handling information with care, you contribute to the digital security of Radboud University. What can you do?
Desk
- Lock your laptop as soon as you leave your workplace.
You can easily lock your Windows computer screen by using the key combination Windows key + L.
To lock your Apple screen, use: CTRL + CMD + Q. - Store your equipment. Do not leave your laptop/telephone/data carrier lying around at the end of the day, but store it safely in a locked cupboard, drawer or locker.
- Store confidential/sensitive documents safely in a locked cupboard or drawer, where others cannot access them.
- Destroy paper documents that are no longer needed by disposing of them in the appropriate (locked) paper container.
Meeting room
- Clean whiteboards after use.
- Remove used flipchart sheets from the meeting room.
Environment
- Wait by the printer for your printout.
- Do not discuss confidential information in public places.
- Be aware of your surroundings: who can see or hear you?
