No consequences for university cyberattack Odido

As you may have heard, Odido has been hit by a cyberattack, affecting customer data. The university has been in contact with Odido and, as far as we know at this point, this has no consequences for employees who have a business mobile subscription from Radboud University.

Although there are no direct indications of an impact on the RU environment, it is advisable to be vigilant for suspicious messages, phone calls, or emails that capitalize on this incident. These include:

  • messages that appear to originate from Odido, banks, or other organizations;
  • requests for personal data, login details, or payments;
  • unexpected invoices or payment requests.
