These awards are a tribute to female scientists and aim to contribute to the development of their careers in science. They are awarded every two years to four excellent female scientists from the various scientific fields within Radboud University and Radboudumc who obtained their PhD no more than five years ago.
The prize consists of a certificate and an amount of € 1,000 that can be spent freely. The four prize winners are determined by a jury of four professors from various scientific disciplines (humanities, science, social sciences, medical), including the chairman of the jury Prof. dr. Ashley Terlouw (Faculty of Law, also chair of the Radboud Network of Female Professors), Prof. dr. Yvonne Engels (Radboudumc), Prof. dr. Laura van Niftrik (Faculty of Science, Mathematics and Computer Science) and Prof. dr. Margot van Mulken (Faculty of Arts).
