Open education: share materials, increase impact

From 2 to 6 March, it was Open Education Week worldwide. The President of our university, Alexandra van Huffelen, took this opportunity to encourage lecturers to make as much use as possible of open textbooks and to share their own teaching materials as widely as possible. She also called on deans and education coordinators to actively promote this.

This open way of working fits seamlessly with our university's recently published new strategy: by reusing materials rather than constantly creating new ones, we make a significant contribution to sustainability, and by sharing them openly, we also strengthen equal opportunities worldwide, enabling Radboud University to make a real impact.

Would you like to contribute to open education as a lecturer? On the Open Learning Materials page you will find everything you need: from guidance on open licences such as Creative Commons to practical support with uploading and sharing your own materials. The Open Education Team is ready to help. Together, we can make education accessible to everyone, everywhere.
