Recap Social Sciences Education Day 2024

The Social Sciences Education Day "Assessment as Learning Strategy" took place on 31 October. During this informative day, lecturers gained inspiration for their teaching through various workshops and lectures.

After each session, ideas, wishes, and feedback from lecturers were gathered and compiled. Lecturers indicated they were especially enthusiastic about formative practices and are eager to continue developing in this area. There is a need for more practical working sessions with colleagues, additional information, and especially more practical examples. TIP will be addressing this need in the coming period. Would you like to get started with formative action before then? Feel free to invite an educational advisor to join a meeting with colleagues via tip.fsw [at] ru.nl.

AI and Assessment

The session on AI and Assessment also prompted reflection among attendees. While no definitive solutions were reached that everyone agreed on, there is a strong desire to keep these discussions ongoing. To gain more insights, our educational advisors will participate in a learning network on AI and Assessment in the coming months. In collaboration with other universities and colleges, this network will explore the main issues surrounding this topic. Any insights gathered there will, of course, be reported back.
