Last week, the departments of Political Science and Public Administration of the Radboud University had the pleasure to welcome three PhD candidates from the Swedish Defence University and two from the Netherlands Defence Academy for a four-day workshop with their Radboud University counterparts. This aims at further deepening institutional collaboration between the three partners in research and education, and highlights our strengths in the study of security, conflict and crisis management.
The participants engaged in discussions on malign information influence, narratives of democratic hope, cognitive warfare, spheres of influence, crisis decision-making, retention in the armed forces, and civil-military relations after rebel victory. They presented their research to faculty both at Radboud University and at the Netherlands Defense Academy in Breda. A successful start to creating a research community of emerging scholars working on defense, security, and military-related topics!
