This summer, from Monday 14 July to Sunday 10 August 2025, the Berchmanianum, Grotius Building, Thomas van Aquinostraat 1, Erasmus Building and Elinor Ostrom Building will be closed for four weeks. To ensure that enough workstations will be available in the Maria Montessori building during that period, we are now taking stock of how many workstations will be needed.
Do you work in any of the buildings that are closing this summer and would like to work in the Maria Montessori building during that time? Please let us know by 2 June using the form at the bottom of this post. this gives us an indication it is not a reservation. Everyone is most welcome!
The summer closure is part of the pilot Opening hours in line with usage.
The Maria Montessori Building is open Monday to Friday from 7 am to 6 pm.
The building offers adequate facilities such as workstations, consultation rooms, coffee and tea machines, printers, pantries, lockers and lactation rooms. A floor plan showing the layout and facilities will be made available. Where possible, zones will be set up for a department, building or faculty.
Grand Café de Iris in the Maria Montessori building is closed during the summer. For food and drinks, you can visit De Refter and The Yard on the days and times listed below:
At the bottom of the Maria Montessori building is a bicycle shed with an enclosed area.
The parking locations below are within walking distance of the building.
Please note that car park Grotius is closed from 14 July to 10 August.

Building managers are already in discussions with various departments/teams about customisation for business-critical processes or specific accessibility needs. Is customisation needed for yourself or your department and not yet known to the building manager or summer closure contact? If so, please contact the Service Centre.
